Hi, I'm Melissa.
I know what it’s like to feel lost in the roles of motherhood—to give so much of yourself that you forget you’re allowed to have needs of your own.
I used to believe that being a good mother meant constant sacrifice. That I should put myself last. That rest was selfish. When I felt exhausted or overwhelmed, I carried guilt for even wanting a break.
But over time, I realized something essential: caring for myself wasn’t choosing myself over my family—it was choosing to be whole so I could truly be there for them.
I learned to release the guilt and give myself permission to rest. To let go of the idea that I had to carry it all. To build sustainable rhythms of care that support me, so I can support them.
Now, through Nurtured Human, I help other mothers do the same.
No matter what stage of life you’re in—whether you’re staying at home, working outside the home, or building a business—this is a place to trade guilt for grace, chaos for calm, and exhaustion for sustainable, life-giving rhythms.
